de Behandlung, bei der die Temperatur ausreicht, um den Großteil des behandelten Materials zu schmelzen, wobei ein Glas oder ein teilweise verglastes Material anfällt. Ex:Wasser zur Kalibrierung von Viskosimetern, Saphire als Wärmekapazitäts-Kalibriermittel in der Kalorimetrie und Lösungen zur Kalibrierung in der chemischen Analytik.
