Agglomeration: process designed to bind together finely ground particles. The result is an agglomerate or a sinter. Pelletization is a process designed to produce spherical agglomerates of a few mm diameter, called pellets, through a rotating device (balling drum, balling disc) after the addition of some binding material (swelling clay, lime, cement, etc.) and water.
