Entry: replicate sample
URI: https://data.geoscience.earth/ncl/ISO11074v2015/4.2.11
one of the two or more samples or sub samples obtained separately at the same time by the same sampling procedure or sub-sampling procedure, at the same location. Note: Although the replicate samples are expected to be identical, often, the only thing replicated is the act of taking the physical sample. The umpire sample is usually used to settle a dispute while the replicate sample is usually used to estimate sample variability.
