Entry: pegmatite aplite

URI: https://data.geoscience.earth/ncl/INSPIRE/MineralDepositTypeValue/pegmatiteAplite

Pegmatites are texturally complex igneous rocks marked by extremely large but variable crystal size, spatial zonation of minerals, prominent anisotropy of crystal orientations from the margins inward, or skeletal, radial, and graphic intergrowth habits of crystals. Any one attribute is sufficient, none is necessary, and they commonly occur in combination within a single pegmatite body. https://doi.org/10.1016/B978-0-12-409548-9.12489-3
